An AI assistant seems helpful. But who does it work well for, whose needs might it overlook, and when should a person step in?
Join Dr Raneem Knaj, Research Fellow at the University of Glasgow, for a practical workshop exploring bias, human judgement and responsible AI through everyday student situations.
Working in small teams, you’ll examine an assistant’s responses, identify a real student need, and create a simple prototype. Teams will then test each other’s designs using scenarios that challenge their assumptions. You’ll improve your idea in response to feedback and present what changed and why.
No coding or previous AI experience is needed. Bring your curiosity and a willingness to question your first idea.
